Mulbridge International Consults Ltd.., was retained by JPG Group of Consulting Engineers, Muscat, Sultanate Of Oman to provide structural design review (Due Diligence Audit) for the proposed project “Leeds City College (LCC), Quarry, UK.

The building foot print includes 6-blocks (A to F) of development within the same podium. The parts of the above blocks gets terminated as go up from level 6 and above. The proposed development has Ground+8-Levels+Top most Terrace (L9).

The basic objective of design review is to interrogate the structural design from principal consultant and assess the areas of design inadequacy if any, whilst identifying the possibility of optimizing the structural elements, if there is any excessive design reserve capacity is available.

In order to carry out the above exercise, the 3-Dimensional digital model based on supplied Revit model was developed. The design parameters, loadings (gravity & wind) material strengths supplied to the analytical model per Eurocode requirements. The above analysis performed using finite element software application Etabs (V 9.7.4). The rest of the floor 2D analysis shall be carried out using SAFE (V12.1.3) and all other structural elements such verified using design program Prokon (V.3)
